Manhasset Filmmaker Nominated for Best Long Island Film at LIIFE

Last year, Long Island native, Emory Parker, shot her NYU thesis film in her hometown of Manhasset, NY. This year, she screens that same film, "The Perfect Fit," at the 21st Annual Long Island International Film Expo. The film played to a very vocal audience last Friday, earning Emory a nomination for "Best Long Island Film."

"The Perfect Fit" is in the midst of an exciting festival run. It recently played SOHO International Film Festival, the film was shortlisted for an Audience Choice Award.


"The Perfect Fit" is a short film about a determined young actress who gets the opportunity to audition for the role that her mother originated on Broadway. When tensions arise between the two, the girl must decide whether to play by her mother's rules or her own.
